External Scholarship Information

Benjamin Gilman Scholarships (multi-country options). Applicants must be receiving a Pell Grant.  Students should meet with their Emory College Study Abroad Advisor to discuss the application. The on-campus deadline for Fall/Annual Year Gilman Scholarships is March 7th, and students are encouraged to send their essays for review to Emory College Study Abroad for the scholarships advisor to review (studyabroad@emory.edu).

Fund for Education Abroad Scholarships (general scholarships & scholarships for LGBTQ students)

* Students must apply by January for all semesters in the upcoming academic year *

Diversity Abroad (multi-country): A search engine to find special scholarships for minority, low-income, first-generation students and other underrepresented groups in study abroad.

Boren Scholarship (multi-country options): January 31st
Eligible students ware those who will study a critical language in a location deemed critical to national security and/or studying a critical discipline.

Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia.  The on-campus deadline for Fall/Annual Year Freeman Asia Scholarships is March 25th.
